Support the Fight Against NC HB 797

NC HB 797 could significantly impact wholesalers and housing revitalization professionals across North Carolina.

If passed, the bill would:

  • Require many wholesalers to obtain a real estate license.
  • Create a 30-day seller cancellation period after contract execution.
  • Increase disclosure and compliance requirements.
  • Expose operators to greater legal and regulatory risk through unfair trade practice claims.

The North Carolina legislature remains in session for 2026. While activity is currently focused on the state budget, we expect attention to return to HB 797 once budget negotiations conclude.

NAHR is organizing now to ensure lawmakers understand the impact this bill could have on housing revitalization, distressed property redevelopment, and housing supply.

Your contribution directly supports legislative monitoring, advocacy, policymaker outreach, and coalition-building efforts focused on NC HB 797.
